Runes glow, as she summons

He awakens to her mystique

He feels her heartbeat, thrumming

His eyes wide, wings spread, so sleek

He can hear her chanting, intone

Knows it is he, she beckons to her

She sits patiently, waiting, alone

His growl, now a low, rumbling purr

With the dragon sword, she shares fire

As she looks to the gods, high above

He moves closer, to quench his desire

She remains, expecting her one true love

Unafraid, she knows he approaches

She‘ll seduce him, with beguiling wiles

As the nighttime sky now encroaches

And the dragon, so deviously, smiles

He was an old softy, with a devilish old heart

Knew how to get the girls, right from the start

Romancing each one, was his kind of game

He never left any of them, feeling the same

Each night he’d romance, yet another pretty face

Then leave her behind, ‘cause he needed his space

Til this one little lady, cheeks red, as she blushed

Smiled, ever shyly, turning his heart into mush

Please don’t let go, mommy!

I can still hear him cry

Seems like only yesterday

But how the years go by

Once counted on for everything

He’s got his own life now

But should he ever need me

I’ll get to him, somehow

For no matter the distance

Nothing can keep us apart

For that little boy, all those years ago

Is the one who stole my heart

I promise if you tell me yours
I’ll surely tell you mine
I’m pretty sure we will agree
Our lives would be divine

I wrote mine on a scrap of paper
But the wind blew it away
I hope it’s you who finds it
Before another, this I pray

Oh! You found it, I’m so glad
Just thrilled, beyond compare
You say you knew this all along
I didn’t think you’d care

See, I am just a tisket
Waiting patiently
For my perfect tasket
Then happy, we could be

Together, for the rest of time
Through dawn and dark of night
You will be my only one
And I, will be your light

The pearl of the sea, she trusts him
Yet, it’s only his hand she can see

Hesitant to let go of her gem
She waits for a sign, his plea

He does not want the opalescence
Only what she hides, in her shell

The maiden, is his only desire
And her heart begins to swell

Every man before him
Wanted only to reap the reward

Pearls, from the mermaid, who guards them
Leaving the lady, unexplored

But he finds the beauty, within her
Nacre holds nothing, compared

To the woman, who lives below the surf
His love for her now declared
