I share my bounty

For life has given me joy

In abundant love

IMG_0960This little guy comes right up to my hubby, not even afraid.  They play a game with peanuts.  Yes, he’s wildlife but he is also life…I love my chippies 🙂

I have traveled many roads

Crossed many bridges, broken

And burned, by words, by actions,

By me, still, I travel over them

Stumble upon them, slip and

Even fall through the cracks

Yet, with each plank, each step

I learn, there will always be bridges

Waiting, to find, to cross, and to teach

Red, her lips, colored,

Tasted the sweet nectar of life

In the crimson night

Barefoot, she walks among the roots
Deep within the ground around her
Feels the pulse of life flowing there
She pauses, lets the senses surround her

The lush of the evergreen, hidden away
Still leaves its fragrance there
Even barren and stark, against graying skies
She can breathe in the scent of the air

Listening closely to the sounds of the forest
Its heartbeat in rhythm with her own
Envisioning colors of grandest affair
Once vibrant, though now monotone

Poignantly gathering her last, deepest thought
She sighs as she gazes through limbs
Knowing one day she’ll again return here
To feel the senses she remembers of him
