The sky roars, clouds bellow their call

Looking up, I can watch the raindrops fall

Splashing my face and blurring my eyes

Is this how it feels to be one with the skies?

Letting the water caress my skin

Drinking in all of the power within

One single drop, as it touches my soul

Lifting my body, taking control

Forever to fly through life’s little storms

Finding my peace, in the rain, I transform

The path before me

An uphill climb

A reminder I

Should take my time

And think about

What’s down the road

As I wander off the path

Unload, the many things

I keep inside

That stay with me

Til I decide

It’s time to let them

Slip away

And thoughts become

Memories, of yesterday

You said it’s always been there
Kept tucked away, waiting to be born
To be released, unleashed, set free
Into new horizons, beyond the
Rising of the sun and moon, before
The setting of light into darkness
It’s been there, awaiting its time,
Biding its course, finding itself,
I ask, what has always been there?
I pray, please tell me, what is it?
You simply answer….your soul.
