Innocence dances in morning so bright

Not a care to concern her, she’s one with the light

Donning flowers about her face

A child of beauty and elegant grace

Free as the elements, one with the wind

Swirling about, again and again

Taking it all, she is lost without care

Free as a butterfly, dancing on air

Swept Away in Golden Splendor

Spun in golden, silken threads, with wings upon her back

She beckons to the one who’s lost, to keep him on her track

Seductive eyes and lips of red, he falls for her completely

As she lures him to her trap, ever so discretely

Into the forest, and fairy light, he follows her hypnotic gaze

Unaware of what’s ahead, his mind, confused, a clouded haze

She turns again, just to be sure, he hasn’t lost his way

Once again she coyly smiles, as he gets swept away

In golden splendor, through the trees, no innocence remains

For she has taken all he has, his spoils are now her gains
