The fire burned inside him
His temper followed suit
By light of day, a mortal
By night, immortal pursuit

The demons preyed upon him
Though he fought, a valiant fight
He could never win the battle
Twas a human’s only plight

He tried his best to break away
Their powers grew much stronger
Pulled him apart, his body gave
He couldn’t bare it any longer

They enveloped him in powers
No mere mortal could contain
Never again, to walk the earth
Locked inside an immortal plane

Disobeying Venus
He finds cause to bleed
Beautiful Psyche looks for love
He plants the sacred seed

Cupid finds delight
Keeping secrets from his quest
She obeys his commands
In hope, she will be blessed

When sisters prey upon her
Their jealousy prevails
Psyche grabs an arrow
On her lover, she assails

He escapes, her only fear
Flies away, and leaves her be
Seems Cupid’s betrayal of the gods
Was an act of conspiracy

Immortals have their way
In the magic that they carry
Human’s leave their mark
Upon their adversary

She was ever so faithful to trouble

Seems chaos was her middle name

Always pointing the finger

Never once would she take the blame

Devoted to causing confusion

He knew not what she had in store

There was no peace around her

This shook him to his very core

Behind them, the city, in mayhem

Explosions, igniting the skies

She simply walks away again

Unconcerned, with its demise

What lurks around the corner

Can be found within her mind

A kaleidoscope of whirling thoughts

And dreams, of every kind

Piercing eyes await you

Though she refuses to reveal

The true meaning of her being

It’s your heart she dares to steal!

Take heed as you approach her

For it’s sure to be a shock

When you find, there’s no escape

Once you’re caught, in her gridlock

She felt her end drawing near
Watched, as the candles burned
They melted away, drip by drip
As the season slowly turned

Winter’s magic began to dwindle
She felt Spring was on her way
Time was running short, you see
As snow fell, on this dismal day

Waiting, was the hardest part
She knew she had no chance
The flowers would awaken
Sway in the winds, and dance

Until that time, she pondered
Wondered how to make it stop
The cold, still lingered, in her
Making temperatures drop

Soon melted, the snow, beneath her
Filled her with much disdain
Another season, passed her by
Twas the end, of Winter’s reign
