My brain, like a frustrated light bulb
Is a filament, constantly in need of a current
To make it spark imagination, I flip a switch
Let it glow for hours, until at last, it burns out
Try to tap it, hoping for the light to return
For the spark to, once again, kindle my thoughts
Regeneration, as the cycle begins again

Embryonic thoughts, plague the best of me
Incipient beginnings, not where I wish to be
Maturity has abandoned me, in very many ways
Passing by the hours, watch them turning into days
Hoping new beginnings, will appear with early dawn
I sit and wait, and realize, I’m really just a pawn
Of merely growing older, in a world, that likes me not
Maybe I finally did grow up, perhaps I just forgot

Seems Jupiter hadn’t learned his lesson
Decided Venus was worth the bliss
Made his way toward her space
Got a smack in the face
Lost a moon, all he does now is hiss
Mother Earth watched it all and she’d had it
Remember, she had given Jupiter the boot
Once again, with a bang
He lost, to a gang
Of women, now isn’t that a hoot!
You can read about Jupiter’s encounter with Mother Earth HERE

A hidden cave, the wind, a rush
Where spirits linger, under brush
Some may show themselves to you
While others share a different view
You never know when they’ll appear
Perhaps it’s just that one stray deer
Who grazes, on the leaves of green
And every flower, in between
Nonchalantly, he will walk by
Then disappear, in bushes, high
Maybe you’ll chance a stroll, go to him
Dare to be brave, go out on a limb
Fear not the company, of those spirits, light-hearted
For they guard the shelter, of the dearly departed
