My brain, like a frustrated light bulb
Is a filament, constantly in need of a current
To make it spark imagination, I flip a switch
Let it glow for hours, until at last, it burns out
Try to tap it, hoping for the light to return
For the spark to, once again, kindle my thoughts
Regeneration, as the cycle begins again

“Let it glow for hours, until at last, it burns out…” That would be me writing at night when I don’t have to get up early the next day. 😆

That’s me writing, all the time, whether I need to be up early or not LOL
