King Harold had quite the excursion

Left the Queen, with her own diversion

He met up with this lady, all seems a bit shady

Now Harold’s the king of perversion

What started out as sandwich
Made with red ripe tomatoes
Turned into a festival
Of fried green potatoes

Have you ever heard of them?
Well, neither have I
Not sure I want to try it
Though I really don’t know why

How bad can they be?
After all, they’re fried
The best way to eat them
Among all I have tried

But the green has me bothered
I’ve never seen that before
Is it because they are moldy?
Kept too long in a drawer?

Perhaps I should slice them
See what’s hiding inside
Oh, nothing more than white
Seems the outside was just dyed

They cooked up rather nicely
Yes, the smell had me wooed
Cause now fried green potatoes
Are my new favorite food

P.S. The tomatoes are now ketchup  😉

Seems Frosty had gone a bit wild

Finally releasing his inner child

Christmas was here, he was full of good cheer

He’d wink when the snowladies smiled

But something went terribly wrong

Must have stayed by the fire too long

No longer jolly, all that’s left is his holly

Now they remember him, with a song

The Christmas tree was lit
Only one thing left to do
String together popcorn
To create the perfect view

I carefully threaded the needle
Making sure it was nice and strong
One by one, I gathered them
To make the strand grow long

There was just one problem
My tree was much too tall
I couldn’t reach the very top
Else I’d surely face a fall

So I sat down in my comfy chair
Took the big bowl, nice and red
Forget about stringing popcorn
I’ll just eat it all, instead

He is my mystery, my shadow in the dark

He moves like the rain, leaving no mark

Obscure, in the night, he leads me to find

The thoughts that wander, inside my mind

Silent words, yet I can hear his voice, so clear

I move closer to him, becoming quite cavalier

He stretches his hands, a gesture towards me

Perhaps he is inviting, my thoughts to be free

To let go of my fears, and throw open the door

His secret communications, I can no longer ignore
