He was betrayed

By those he loved

Left alone, to fend

Against the human

Demons who sought

After him, betrayed

By ones he thought

He could lay his trust

Isn’t it funny though

How we still carry on

This way, afraid to do

What’s right, until

It all goes wrong

And then we beg

His forgiveness…
