She is the morning sky
Through clouds of white
And azure blue, celestial light
She is the watchful eye
A glimmer of hope, shining bright
Reflecting, every beautiful sight
She is the one who rises above
She is the vision of heavenly love

Tumultuous, the clouds as they sigh,
Gray, like days, they go drifting by
Black, as a moonless, starless night,
Water from my eyes, blurs my sight
Cascading down, perhaps in vain
Are they my tears or just the rain?

Graying clouds reflected my mood
As sunshine struggled to find a small opening
To brighten the feelings kept deep inside
I turned my head toward the sky
A silent prayer within to the One who can hear
To the One who can only truly understand
And as I said my final thank you
The sun broke through the gloom
And followed me on my journey
And I knew He was keeping watch over me.
