9th in the “Saturday Stars” photography series on my blog.

I cannot get enough of these magnificent creatures.  I was fortunate to be able to photograph them again   😉

I will be taking weekends off from sharing poetry until further notice, so I decided to share some of my favorite photos.  I hope you enjoy them.  Of course, I’ll still be doing my #DailyHaikuChallenge/#OctoberWriting.  🙂

Her power of love weakened the mighty

The Goddess, a beauty was she, Aphrodite

Clothed in silken white, she gleamed

The vision of every human male’s dream

They bowed to her, these men, devoted

Hoping they would soon be noticed

And stand by her side, as her lover, no more

Immortality, is all they ever wished for
