Unaware ~ #poetry of #life

write
I sit here, in my office
My one place to breathe
Where I can write quietly
My gentle reprieve

Placed my hands on the keyboard
But something felt wrong
The words made no sense
As I typed them along

What could be happening?
Not now, my dearest friend!
My keyboard then answered
“Use paper and pen”

A talking piece of hardware
Where all my thoughts do play
Was telling me to change it up
To try a new display

“Learn to flow more freely
Write your verse, with endless flair
Then sit back and admire
What you’ve done, unaware”

Heavenly body

Midnight light, chases darkness

Quells the deepest fears

This was January’s full moon, also known as the Wolf Moon.

Thoughts Inside ~ #poetry

Eyes grow weary, vision blurred

Thoughts inside me, ever stirred

Laying down my head to sleep

Hoping that these words can keep

Until I can, again, awaken

And let these thoughts, again, be shaken

Free from where they dwell, beguiled

A million sentences, running wild

Alas, they do not let me slumber

These thoughts and words,

I must disencumber

In the chill of winter, breathe

Awaiting new life

Barren Sky – #poetry of #winter

Winter, how your colors fade

Oh, how I long, for leaves of jade

To take the gray, away from me

And paint the colors, splendid, free

Which quietly wait, a resurrection

Blending, a palette of perfection

With beauty rising, innocent of

The gloominess that you so love

Let me close my eyes, and see

How beautiful all things can be

Alas, you do not hear my cry

As I gaze into your barren sky
