In the trees, of my favorite hideaway

I can hear you chirping your heart out

Your song, letting me know spring is approaching

Optimistic Pessimism ~ #poetry

I always tend to be an optimist

But these days I’m not quite sure

Every day it gets harder and harder

I don’t know how much I can endure

I try not to get overwhelmed

By the daily routine of my life

But I’m stuck in a rut, an abyss

One that’s filled with unbearable strife

Pessimism was never my forte

Though the times have changed, you see

I’m beginning to think I’ve forgotten

How beautiful this life can be

His Crush ~ #poetry #FebruaryWriting

The winds blew silently against her

Dress swayed, like ripples in the sea

She stood there, in the twilight

Enjoying life, unbothered, carefree

All he could see in the darkness

Were her six red balloons, in the sky

He thought about calling out to her

But all he could do was just sigh

Wondering if he should approach her

The thoughts in his head turned to mush

It would be another Valentine’s Day, spent alone

He’d have to dream, about his mystery crush

Bewildered ~ #poetry

Baffled by that which surrounds her

Embarrassed by what she’d become

Wondered why this had happened

Insanity hit her, until she was numb

Lost in her own world, she lingered

Dazed and confused, overwrought

Ever perplexed, and befuddled

Reality was what she had sought

Everything mixed up, and muddled

Disconcerted, by her own thoughts
