Our lives

Constant battles

In states of confusion

Much ado about everything

For naught

I caught him looking down at me
Face in a frown, not happy to be
Up in the sky, I could clearly see
Something was coming, no mystery

Where once it was blue, now it was gray
What happened to my nice, sunny day?
Who sent dark clouds, over this way?
I wish the nice weather was here to stay

All of a sudden, the clouds started to tumble
Off in the distance, I heard something rumble
I’m pretty sure I heard someone else mumble
It’s cloudy, my dear, with a chance of grumbles

Sure enough, there he was, still looking down
Furrowed eyebrows, face remained in a frown
Started to think, he looked more like a clown
Realized, in his rain, I could possibly drown!

With a wave of my hand, I bid him goodbye
Slammed the door shut, and let out a sigh
I didn’t want him to find me, though he did try
It was then, I noticed, he had started to cry…

We start out very small, and oh, we are such cuties
With a diaper on the bottom, to cover up our booty’s
Everyone coos at us, and we think that’s just grand
Of course, you realize, it’s exactly how it’s planned

The years go on, and slowly, our diapers disappear
Instead, in place, is underwear, to cover up our rear
We learn to use the bathroom, for other than a bath
Having to pull down our undies, sure gives us a draft

Still more years pass by us, we’ve got it under control
Our body tells us when it’s time, to visit a nearby bowl
We take it all for granted, it will always be this way
Til we realize, something’s different, and gone astray

Where once we knew our bodies well, it has changed
And all our underclothing, must now be rearranged
Instead of fancy underwear, we’re in diapers once more
And those taking care of us, are the ones, we cared for

A fiery apple, she quietly lures

Outside the town, nobody did notice

To her advantage, she uses a spell

This gypsy girl, mysterious poetess

Chanting rhymes and incantations

He falls for her, much to his chagrin

She knows exactly how to charm

But the fairy tale would never begin

Anger holds her tighter than love

He is doomed, in the aftermath

Never to see home, again, he is done

Easily bitten, by the apples of wrath

Hanging upside down, in a nearby tree

Is a cuckoo bird, and he’s on an eating spree

Gobbling down Rambutan, delightfully sweet

He can’t get enough, so he uses both feet

As well as his beak, to stuff them all in

When suddenly, above him, his tail does spin

He tries to be cool, but his wings start sprawling

Usually what happens, when the cuckoo’s falling
