The colors of midnight, purple and blue
The crimson of roses, vibrant and true
Blackening skies against red petals, deep
Clouding my judgement, as I slip into sleep
Lost in a fantasy, dreams float away
In a fragrance that once held the meaning of day
Try as I might, I cannot awaken
Through blackness, in dreams, my soul is taken
