Sunlight sparkles through the trees

Fairy dust flies, with mysteries

Released to the wind by her hand

Gisela lets them go, unplanned

Wanting to keep them for herself

She knew better, this little elf

Saying goodbye, she blew a kiss

With her one last final wish

May they return to her, some day

And bring the light, again, her way

What would your life be like?

If you could only see trees and sky?

Rain puddles, gather in your nose

Upside down tears, that go awry

Eating could also be a real hassle

More in your eyes, and on your face

The hair, on the top of your head

Will always seem to look out of place

I’d imagine that’s how it would be

If we couldn’t get up, off the ground

Much like a statue, carved in stone

It would be pretty hard to get around

All the simpleminded things we do

Are quite small, in total retrospect

Then reality comes, kicks us in the ass

And you realize, it’s a pain in the neck

Humans continuously undermine, this place we call our home

Seldomly, do they realize, they’re leaving Earth, in disrepair

Our planet should be flourishing, not wan, nor monochrome

People need to wake up, and stop acting like they don’t care

Word of the Day – Seldomly
FOWC with Fandango – Undermine
Ragtag Daily Prompt – Wan

The lovely Helene of Willow Poetry has challenged us with “What do you See?”.  You may write a poem, haiku, tanka or short story that represents what you see or feel within you.  More info can be found in the link below.

Quickly capturing their attention
Three lovely ladies of the sea
Luring sailors from safety
Taunt and beguile with song
Each man unknowing
That death follows
When sirens
Sweetly
Sing

You must learn to live with an intrepid heart

Show others you’ll come through, in a clutch

Do whatever it takes, so hope sprouts, imparts

Let your love shine through, it’s never too much

Word of the Day – Clutch
FOWC with Fandango – Intrepid
Ragtag Daily Prompt – Sprout
