April is the month, mostly known, for spring cleaning

If we stay on track, our houses should be gleaming

It’s characteristic of us, to move things, here or there

Later to discover, we really haven’t gotten anywhere.

The sky was a beautiful blue underneath white puffy clouds. I couldn’t help notice how green the landscape had become, after the harsh winter months. Walking along a path, I came across a sign, unmarked, and quite faded. It sent a tingle down my spine, as if it was sending me a message, although, it was surrounded by nettles. I couldn’t get close enough to see where it could send me, no matter how many different angles I approached it from. I could go in any of the directions it suggested, but exactly, where would I be going? Eventually, I decided to go east, to follow the sun, praying I had made the right choice.

Decisions to make
Endless possibilities
Ultimately mine

Ivy shrouds a tiny house, made of glass and metal

Inside, a boy, so very small, tries his best to settle

Knowing danger is lurking, a face he does not know

Watching him, he tries to hide them, from this foe

Fairies flitter about him, dodging his every move

Surely, they know, this menace need be reproved

Carefree sprites, they continue, to taunt the face

Hoping, soon, he’ll forget, how he found this place

Perhaps, he’s a small one, separated from his own

Fearful for his tiny ones, of this he’ll not condone

And so the light, in the home, stays lit, without a fire

Never to wait in darkness, they begin to conspire

Wondering how to deal with what has them mystified

The man, with an unknown face, waits patiently outside

Life is a game in which you must participate

You will never get through it, using pantomime

Speak up for what you believe in, never abate

By allowing silence, to use up this precious time

There is something about her, a blazing fire in her eyes

O’er the distant mountains, her wicked sparks do fly

Standing atop the castle, sweet Raven on her arm

She glances back to find a man, she’s alluring with her charm

Coaxing him ever closer, she patiently waits to see

If, indeed, he is the one, she hopes he will be

The skies are burning brighter, her body stokes the flame

A vixen, flaxen hair of gold, is calling out his name

He dare not try to turn around, she has him in her hold

Nearing the edge, in the end, her flame returns to cold

Though fire burns and Raven caws, she feels no contrition

For they who have met their untimely death…

The Dominant, has conquered her submission
