Once again, I noticed, as I went to reblog a post, the reblog button has disappeared.  Anyone else’s missing?  I really don’t get why WP keeps doing this.  Perhaps they can answer…

What Amazon Says:

Human being has the will power to travel through an exhausting journey, win a tough battle, and heal a deep wound. Strength from hope keeps us going until the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight and striving until the storm is over.

Hurdle in her poetry collection includes themes of personal experiences in nature, difficult relationship, cancer treatment, marriage, parenthood, remembrance, reflection and inspiration. She reveals the honest self-talk and reflects a heart filled with optimism, faith and trust. She loves music, photography and watercolor painting and includes photos and paintings to complement the poems.

My Review:

“Songs of Heartstrings – Poems of Gratitude and Beatitude” is a most enjoyable book of poetry.  Told in the first person, Miriam Hurdle takes you along on her many journeys, in the ups and downs, of life.  I particularly enjoyed the photos, placed before many of the poems.  It brought me closer to what Miriam was relaying in her words.

My favorite poem is “Life’s Currents”.  Here, the author reminds us we are never alone, no matter the hardships we might face in our time here on Earth.  There is no doubt Miriam has a strong faith and relies on it for many of life’s obstacles.

The book is broken up into eight different sections, making it a very pleasant read.  Miriam uses different styles of poetry, so you’re never just reading.  She easily gets and keeps your attention throughout.  If you are looking for a poetry book filled with inspiration, and thought provoking passages, this is the book for you.  I highly recommend this to any and every one, as I thoroughly enjoyed reading “Songs of Heartstrings – Poems of Gratitude and Beatitude”.

I purchased the book in Kindle, and it also available in paperback from Amazon.

Hi there!

I decided to take Ritu’s (But I Smile Anyway) advice and check my spam filter.  Oh my goodness!!  So many of you wound up in there.  I’m so sorry.  I was not ignoring you.  WordPress popped you there, instead of here.  But it’s all better now. I’ve put you back where you belong   🙂

If you missed any of Ritu’s #Blogmas posts, be sure to check them out.  She gives great advice to new bloggers, and seasoned veteran’s, as well!!

So Frustrating! – Trying to make sense of it all. Can you help?

Most of us do things from our phones these days.  But what do you do when your phone won’t cooperate?  Here’s my dilemma.  I get a lot of emails from the bloggers I follow on WordPress.  I have a Yahoo account they go to.  At certain times during the day, every email that comes through doesn’t allow to like or comment on a blog post.  It tells me I need to log in (which I am) and when I try again, it still won’t let me do anything.  Is it Yahoo or WordPress causing this?

The posts I get at 2AM, which are all the digests, I have no trouble with, unless I try to open them at 10AM.  Then, you guessed it.  It says I’m not following the blogger and I need to log in.

Does anyone else have this trouble?  I don’t always have time during the day to read blogs, so if I’m sitting in a doctor’s office, or worse yet, the inspection station line,  I want to be able to do my blogging!!  Now, you’re probably thinking, why doesn’t she just use the reader?   Because not all of you show up in it!!!  It’s terrible.  Reminds of Facebook.  You see the same 5 or 6 bloggers and the rest are lost in word land.

So…any ideas, tips, rescues, anything at all??  I’m really getting annoyed about this whole mess. I just want to be able to read everyone’s blogs!!

Five Years! Holy Blogiversary, Batman!

I can’t believe it! Five years have flown by and my little blog has an anniversary today.  It seemed only yesterday when I posted my first article, back when I wasn’t posting my poetry (That’s officially in January).

Of course, I wouldn’t be here without the support and friendship from so many in the WordPress community, family and friends.  I never dreamed I would make it this far, and yet, 13 books later, with #14 in my hands awaiting editing, I am still here.  I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our dear friend, Paul Lenzi, who left us far too soon.  He helped me in so many ways.  I would never be able to thank him enough.

And so, off to year six, and Lord only knows what it will bring!  Many thanks to all of you, for allowing me to share my thoughts (sometimes crazy ones) and cheering me on. Because of you, I am able to continue my dream.  See ya round the blogosphere!   ❤

~Dorinda~
