She couldn’t believe the day had arrived,
It was one they had planned, for so long;
They practiced their lines to perfection,
But completely forgot about their song.

The time came to recite their vows,
Each of them nervous, as you can guess;
One mistake, one word out of place,
And the whole thing could turn to a mess.

Taking a deep breath, and letting it out,
She was first, in proclaiming her heart;
When it came time, for him, to do the same,
Flustered, he had forgotten where to start.

Finally getting through his words, she sighed,
He smiled, as the music began to play;
That’s when they suddenly realized,
They had forgotten to practice for today.

Just at that very moment, the bells rang,
And they knew everything was okay;
He scooped her up in his arms, turned about.
And quickly, he whisked her away!

Young love, is always an elfin treasure

Joyous and carefree, by any measure

Through the forests, they romp all day

Dragons about them, watch them play

He’ll pick a flower, for his dear one

She’ll sigh with happiness, it’s only begun

He’ll make a promise to her, a solemn oath

That she is the one, of which he’ll betroth

For elfin beings, together, will stay

When two souls merge, on the forest pathway

My love lies strewn about me
Flowers grace the lake
Each one of them now signifies
The vows we’d never break

Yes, we were bound together
In sickness and in health
It’s the love we shared between us
That signified the wealth

We spent the days in harmony
But our favorite spot grew dim
And that is when I truly knew
That you had gone to Him

You left my side too early
I did not understand
Why God would take you from me
That wasn’t what we planned

Yet, I will visit, quite often
Speak to you, under the trees
And you can whisper back to me
With the softness of the breeze
