monochrome
Is that you I see past my window shade?

Have you come to visit this lonely soul?

Venture in and stay awhile

Sit with me, as I grow old

 

The chair, once filled with laughing eyes

Has been empty, many years gone by

And I watch and wait for that certain day

When we are together again, to stay

 

Is that you, I see outside?

As my world turns monochrome?

Here’s my hand, I’m ready now

For you to take me home

Whispers speak in Silent Tones
Caressing Thoughts and Schemes
Enveloping Softness to Grace the Soul
Wrapped in Lullaby Dreams

Drifting Slowly across your Mind
Lulling you Closer, you Sleep
Lost in a Fantasy full of Divine
Enchantingly, Visions do Creep

Of building Castles in the Sky
And Hiding among the Clouds
Revealing your quiet Madness there
In Silence now Spoken Aloud

Sunlight bathes the undertow

Settling, in sweet serenity

Channeling its identity

Carrying shadows in the light

Gathering, and holding tight

So not to let them slip away

But glide them though another day

A light beyond me beckons

A wooden door within a wall

Sunshine marks the sacred place

Deep inside this hallowed hall

Beams that cross in symmetry

Mark this place they once called home

Spirits linger, lost in time

Forever, left to roam

Among the empty corridors

Casting shadows in the sun

Haunting visions capture me

There is no place left to run

For just beyond what eyes can see

Lies a kingdom, far more grand

Guarded by phantom warriors

Who, behind the door, now stand

Dreamy, Inviting
Reaching out, Touching
Embracing, Igniting

Mirrored Specter
Shadowy, Haunting
Awaken me, Clutching
Visionary, Taunting

Remove the Pain of
Misery, Discarded
Lighten my Heart with
Pleasure, Unguarded

Phantasm of Fantasy
Imaginary, Beguiled
Seduce me, Beloved
Delightfully, Wild
