Of scattered raindrops
Tears from my eyes
Falling endlessly
Boundless
Swirling, whirling
Like an eddy
Restless with your memories
Calling out to me
Clutching my very being
Sucking me down
An abyss of apathy
Leaving me cold
Drowning my existence

Wake up
And embrace
All that life has
Swirling around you
Keep close, those
Who matter most
The ones who
Create the laughter
And dry the tears
Tell them
They count
Before it’s too late
And they depart
Enlighten yourself
To the plight of others
Reach out
Make a difference
Do not restrict
The thoughts of others
For you may never know
The lesson they teach
Spread love, not
Disdain
Spread joy, not
Bitterness
We are all
One in the same
No one better than another
We are human
