Through this portal
Shines the color of day
On the other side
A nighttime display
Do I go forth into the light
Or wander back into the night
Walk in meadows
Green and fair
Or gather stars
Without a care
Soak in rays of yellow sun
Or shiver with the clouds as one
A decision made quite simply for me
The night is always where I’ll be

I shall gaze upon the sky
Memorized by light
Watch it slowly disappear
Three shadows in the night
Yellow fades to darkness
Changing into red
Three orbs, a visual spectacle
Earth, Moon and Sun
Together are bled
Aligned, a Heavenly festival

When darkening clouds invade
Covering the last of sun
With thick and dusky shade
Disguised within a blackening sky
Luminous shadows emerge
Eventide, sunset’s light
When day and night converge

Sunbeams do gleam
And dance across air
Casting a fiery glow
A vision so grand
I hold out my hand
To capture one, I dare
A ball of fire calmly rests
In all its splendor, bright
My soul it unlocks
Whilst I sit upon this rock
Basking in morning’s first light
