Lay your hand upon my chest
Feel the power rushing through
A heart that beats forever strong
My heart, it beats for only you

Touch your lips against my own
Let me breathe my life into thee
Let me show you what it means
To have you, so close to me

Melt into these arms of mine
Let me hold your entire soul
Then promise that you’ll not let go
Tis love that will make us whole

Light blazes across the night

As God awakens the skies

Another soul makes its journey

Upward toward peace

And the clouds gather and weep

Rebirth

We tend to chase away the pain
Run away from where it came
Disappear, yet once again
It comes back to us, all the same

We fight the battle to win the war
The one we never asked for
Waging against a mighty plight
Raging into the depths of night

We struggle to find the safest place
To rest from this weary human race
And gather our souls for better’s worth
Yet find an absence here on Earth

Within ourselves, within our heart
We reach inside and find the part
Missing deep within our soul
A simple piece to make us whole

He’s been with us through all our sorrow
He’ll be with us, again, tomorrow
A grace not found upon this earth
The son of God, our spiritual rebirth

sky with bird
For a moment
I will stand and let the wind
Take my breath away
Pierce through me
Like a talon through its prey

For a moment
I will let the sun’s rays
Envelop my skin
Comfort my soul
Warm deep within

For a moment
I will whisk away
To another place
Forget about sorrow
Find a lighter space

For a moment
I will let my guard down
Give others a chance
To twirl to infinity
Get lost in the dance

Yet, for more than a moment
I will listen to my heart
The gentle whispers
Of loved ones gone
Wrapped up in my soul
Forever, and yon
