Sunset
When the colors of twilight
Welcome the calm of the night
And the only sound I hear
Is your heartbeat whispering near
And I feel your love’s caress
As we lay this day to rest

Headphones on, to dim the noise
Fingers on the keyboard, poised
Words begin to type themselves
Thinking, maybe, I have elves
No, it’s me, who taps away
Another verse, another day
Things are starting to make sense
Thoughts and meanings so intense
Can’t believe my brain’s still going
Now this poem’s overflowing
Enter, comma, too much drama
All this writing’s causing trauma
Blurring letters fall off the page
I’m starting now, to disengage
Eyes begin to droop and close
Maybe I should switch to prose

Good morning, friends!! I am so excited to share the cover for the third book in my poetry fantasy trilogy, “A Flight of Imagination – Spirit of Fantasy” It’s set to be released in mid-July. The incredible art work on the cover was done by the very talented Jonathan Duclos (yes, he’s my son, proud mama moment). Jonathan has done the art work on all three fantasy covers. So without further ado………
