The sun was pretty amazing today, playing peek-a-boo with the clouds 🙂

Soft as velvet, blackened night
Luminous orb through shadows bright
Full in wonder, shining bright
Mesmerize us with celestial light
Illuminate the darkened sky
As the clouds go slowly drifting by
Enticing us from way up high
You captivate and mystify
Seducing us with golden splendor
To you, alas, we must surrender
Luna, Goddess of the Moon
With you, we are at last, attune

Although it became quite misty, I was able to get some shots of last night’s penumbral lunar eclipse. I hope you enjoy 🙂
This is the full moon, known as the Snow Moon, coming up over the mountain, roughly 5:50PM EST 2/10/17
The full moon with a subtle sign of the eclipse. Look lower left corner to see the Earth’s shadow. Approx: 6:25 PM EST 2/10/17
It was getting very hazy but you can still see the eclipse partially covering the left side of the moon. Approx: 7:15PM EST 2/10/17
While the haze still lingered, you can now see the soft shadow of the penumbral eclipse of the full moon. Approx: 7:50 PM EST 2/10/17
The last picture isn’t so great but it still shows the amazing beauty of our celestial bodies. ❤

Be sure to scroll down to see G’s adventure 🙂
Hi there, remember me? I’m Gandolph (the gray). My human named me that. I’m sitting up here, in the snow, waiting for lunch 🙂
Finally! OK, I hope no one noticed I took more than my share. Darn, there’s that human behind the camera. Looks like she caught me, again….
Ouch! Poked my nose!! Can’t they buy shelled peanuts??!! You who, human, no more shells, please!
OK, last one! Om nom nom. That is until I jump off this wall and go get more! Till next time..
Love Gandolph the Gray (Squirrel) 🙂
Photographer’s note: For those who don’t know Gandolph, hubby named him that. He’s my buddy and will actually listen to me when I tell him it’s ok to get a peanut. I love my backyard and all the critters that come with it 🙂
