Friday Fantasy ~ Faraway Lands – #poetry #fantasy

Imagine a world, kept inside a book

Open the pages, close your eyes, don’t look

Picture the verdant grasses and trees

Breathe in the subtle, wisps of the breeze

Watch as the birds fly quietly by

Grab all the moonbeams, out of the sky

Dangle your legs, in the lake near a castle

Forget about life, and all of its hassles

Reach up and catch the clouds in your hands

Dream yourself away, to those faraway lands
