She’ll sail through the skies,

As the stars begin whispering

Fly through the heavens,

Hearing the angels, softly sing

Their glorious melody,

Such a welcoming tune

When the soul and the sky,

Do finally commune

As one with the kingdom,

Kept higher, above

Where eternity awaits,

On the wings of love

Rest well, Nilda..Heaven has a new angel…

Much Too Weak ~ #NaPoWriMo #dark #poetry

A tremor, of which, there is no control

Wrestles my being, invading my soul

Carries me down, into the darkened abyss

How much longer, can I go on like this!

Looking for mercy, from the pain that’s inflicted

The horrors, and heartache, that have me restricted

No movement can ease, this demon inside me

Under my pillow, perhaps I can hide me

From dealing with this, again and again

And others who look, with obvious disdain

They know not what it is, I am truly feeling

Or how much destruction, I’ve been concealing

Am I never to find the answers I seek?

Or is it just that I’ve gotten much too weak?

Should I try to put this pain, and misery to rest?

And forget all this time, I am still quite oppressed

The glory of today fills my heart

For I await His return

And he does not let me down

Patiently, I sit in the garden

Dove of Peace in my hand

My offering, to Him, the only one

My Savior, Jesus Christ, the Lord

Ever grateful to be called His child

Angel of the Stone ~ #NaPoWriMo #poetry of #faith

She was born of the earth

Chiseled from the stone

Laid down by the sands of time

Covered in moss, she blended

Into beautiful movement

Away from the boulders

That no longer bound her

She found freedom, sought

The hidden cave, where once

A man laid, the sacrificial lamb

Taken from human hands, and

Received in divinity, for she was

The Angel of the Stone, sent down

From God above, to carry Him home

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

My Wedding Day ~ #NaPoWriMo #whimsical #poetry

I sit with pen and paper
Thoughts are swirling in my head
Should I listen to my angel?
Or hear the devil’s words instead?

To choose the proper phrasing
I need to follow what’s in my heart
For my mind keeps playing tricks on me
And I knew right from the start

These two would cause a problem
When I saw them standing near
I wonder what there is to do
To make them disappear

Ignore them, if I can
And hope they leave quite soon
I need to write this letter
Before my honeymoon

Dear John, I guess I’ll start it
I no longer wish to marry
There are just too many of me
Over the threshold, for you, to carry
