reindeer-1503666_960_720She flies throughout the silent night

Above the shimmering snow of white

Bedecked in the colors of Christmas glory

Spreading the news, her mistletoe story

Of lovers who wait in an aura of bliss

Hoping to steal that one special kiss

As she quickly drops her petals of green

Then quietly vanishes, contented, unseen

forest-931706_960_720Mist lies quietly over starless skies
Swaddling the land in a cool damp air
Droplets filled with passing rain
Enveloped in fog that roams without care

Darkness ahead through shrouded passage
Shadows engulfing the light
Ethereal movements that send you astray
Across clouds enraptured by night

A brilliant sun awakens the dawn
And dissipates the lingering mist
Scattered softly on blades of grass
The quintessence of morning’s kiss

Magical leaves hang from above

Drawing in lovers below

Gathering hearts for one more kiss

Beneath the mistletoe
