Where once I followed many blogs, tis not the case today

Seems WordPress played around again, let some get away

Wondering why, I couldn’t see their posts, in my reader

Clicked the link on my desktop, no follow, WP, the ringleader

Perhaps it might be favorable, to beta test an update, before

You apply it to all of us, and send us “flying” out the door

Now I have to go back, try to remember who I’m missing

I promise you it wasn’t me, who started all this dissing!

So if you’ve missed me in your feed, take a look to see

If the Follow is a blasé grey, then, please click it, just for me!

Dear Lord, what a mess!!!  I couldn’t understand why I was missing so many of you in my reader, until The Haunted Wordsmith pointed out she had lost so many blogs she follows!!  Enough already!  leave the stuff that works ALONE!

This week Colleen has challenged us with the words Follow and Lead!  Synonyms are a must!  Check out Colleen’s blog to find which forms of poetry are acceptable for this challenge.  Have fun!

Written as a Nonet, my synonyms are Pursue and Govern.

Let our thoughts govern our wildest dreams
Take us to places none can find
Through wilderness and portals
Imaginary doors
Unlocking our minds
As we pursue
Beautiful
And new
Paths

Follow the Path ~ #poetry

I followed the curve of a winding road, not knowing where I was going. The subtle breeze that sent a chill, let me know, the wind was blowing. I brushed away the strands of hair, which fell across my face. Wandered down the sandy path which led me to this place. Stopping for a moment, I felt a rush, much colder than before. I heard water splashing, in the distance, as it lapped against the shore. The road twisted on, unending, as the path grew longer still. I didn’t think I’d make it, but it gave me such a thrill. So journey on, I must, to find what there may be. It’s waiting for me, patiently.  I call it destiny.

Follow, John Freda, muse, Night Owl. Flight, The Magic Shop

Hello all!, I’d like to introduce you to my dear friend, John. John writes short stories and poetry. I am honored to be his muse for the poem below. Please enjoy, and kindly hit that follow button to welcome John to an awesome community! Thank you!!

She types, she flies.

Boxed in, blinders on.

Automatic responses, with no soul.

A fear of dreams.

Oblivious potential.

The masses stay grounded.

Their visions of magic never performed.

Some reveal themselves.

Let their voice be felt.

An escape from the norm.

Passion feeds the creation.

And of the one who types, her words take her to limitless heights.

Most stay put within the grind, their creative breath held within.

But the Night Owl soars above us, her soul on an endless flight of wonder.

For D.D.

Thank you.

#FridayFantasy ~ The Broccoli Tree – #whimsical #dark #poetry

Imagine how our life would be

If we all lived in a broccoli tree

On top of the stalk, our house would sit

Oh, can you just imagine it?!

Beautiful sunsets, out our backdoor

Who could ask for anything more!

Follow me, I’ll pave the way

For you to come, perhaps to stay

The light is always on, you’ll see

Just how happy you can be

Hurry now, no time to waste

But remember, you must never taste

For if you eat from the broccoli tree

The house will fall, and dead you’ll be
