From this treasure, olden
Radiant light blinding, golden
Blaze in the night
Harnessing dark, unspoken
Luminous wonder, enchanting, unbroken
Awakening my soul
With visions lucent, agleam
Opening my heart, to love, to dream

Beauty lies sleeping, in meadows of green
Billowing satin, around her, serene
A treasure for one, in a dress made from gold
She’s awaiting her true love, so the story’s been told
But perhaps, she no longer can wait for her knight
Completely exhausted, she gives up the fight
Content to be dreaming of another, instead
Beauty stays sleeping, on her yellow flowered bed
