The full moon plays its devilish game

Finds fun with some nighttime flickery

Illuminates darkness, its claim to fame

Implements her tool, of magical trickery

Full moon child
Light shines
From thine heart
Floating gently
Across the night
We are one
Hand to soul
Grasp the power
Of the light
Hold steadfast
Until the dark
Is done

Watch the light
Flow slowly by
Breathe it in
Nothing between us
Not you nor I
Can ever stop fate
From beginning
Again

Fear not
The light
That covets
Night skies
Bask
In the glory
Of brilliance
Peace
Comes to you
In celestial sigh
We are
The dark’s
Resilience

Mr. and Mrs. Peep, donned in their best Sunday duds
Were ready for the annual Easter parade, down Main
Mr. Peep in his tuxedo, Mrs. Peep in a purple bonnet
Often found the other chicks dressed quite mundane

Trying to make a statement, the Peeps went to town
Waving to the folks, and flashing smiles, for all to see
But, no one was paying attention, everyone did ignore
“We’re the best dressed!” cried Mrs. “How can this be”

The town had done away with this yearly competition
They more concerned with everyone being friendly
It seems they had had enough, of the Peep’s traditions
No one seemed to care, if the Peeps were even trendy

We are prone to compromise, yet we do not know why

Perhaps, we prefer the sunshine, instead of dark skies

I am often reminiscent about those times, I let get by

Those are the days, over which I find, I now agonize

Word of the Day – Reminiscent
FOWC with Fandango – Prone
Ragtag Daily Prompt – Compromise
Daily Word Prompt – Sunshine
