Passing the mirror
To her, she is unseen
Here in the present
And somewhere in between
Echoes of another life,
Fill her mind
Clouded judgements
Mistakes, for which she’ll pay
Haunt her entire being
But there was no other way
Her mind filled with strife,
A life unkind
Never thought this would happen
Or what it would never be
Turning her back on someone
That certain someone, it was she
Remaining the dutiful wife,
Vows that bind
Moments pass, fleeting
She now realizes the path
Of where, at last, it will take her
Waiting, for the aftermath
Whatever possessed her to pick up the knife?
Still fighting her demons, she remains, confined…

The light from tower’s windows gleam
Take heed, the house, isn’t what it seems
In fact, it is more a nightmarish dream
When it drifts into your slumber
She floats atop the castle crown
This spirit, donned, in ethereal gown
So painful, the look, her face, a frown
As she seeks to disencumber
Full moon lights her ghostly frame
The raven flies, her soul to claim
Dare not point, nor place the blame
When demons, pursue, outnumber
For there is no human left in she
Life’s torture, all lies, brought insanity
This spirit, longing, to be set free
To leave this world, in pieces, asunder

A torn soul, he lost his way
Searched to find his heart
Down the shadowed road he walked
Turned back again, to start
A newer path, his freedom rang
From all he held inside
Knowing he could conquer it
He felt this sense of pride
For those who thought he needed more
They really did not know him well
The key was held within him
To unlock this living hell
From demons he would battle
Till he defeated them, one by one
A valiant warrior, determined
No longer a forgotten sun
