Perhaps the night
Brings darkness
To cover up
The tears
Ones shed
By the clouds
Though
Never obvious
I ponder about
Where exactly
They’ve come from
Who is shedding them
And why
Are there angels
Mourning the loss
Of a loved one
Bearing the sorrow
Unburdening us
Our hearts
A cleansing
For the soul
Now in eternal rest
Or
Is it something
Beyond the simplicity
