A huge shout out to the men and women who have fought and are fighting still today. We salute you and thank you for your bravery and commitment to this proud country we call home.  God bless you and keep you safe.

Next time you see a man/woman in uniform, extend a hand, or place one on your heart.  Let them know you support (even if you don’t support the war) and appreciate them   ❤

She shot only once, to unleash the hell

Of flaming arrows, on those who dwell

Upon the grounds, so sacred, pure

Now laid in ruins, and left obscure

To all who dreamt, of life, ideal

A vision of beauty, life surreal

Came crashing down, among the brave

Sending them, to an early grave

Abolishing demons, was their plight

Saving others, they dared to fight

Where once there stood, quite profound

Their paradise, burning, to the ground

A wasteland, on which the earth, now shook

One simple arrow, was all it took

A Day in My Life

Hello my friends,

As most of you know, my mom fell, breaking her wrist, and is staying with me. Last night, it was my turn in the ER. I fell in a rather bizarre way. I’m laughing about it now but I wasn’t last night.

I was attempting to get up from siting on the floor with Alyssa. My right wrist snapped back, I went down and hit my head on her shoulder. I have now registered said shoulder as a lethal weapon. So off to the hospital we went.

To make a long story short, although the doc said she saw what could be a fracture, and proceeded to splint/cast my wrist, the radiologist called this morning to tell me there was no fracture. It’s just very badly sprained. Phew.

On that happy note, I shall give my wrist a rest. My posts will be sporadic.  Hope to see you soon. 😊

No Man’s Fortune ~ #poetry

The daytime star grew brighter

As I watched its light ignite

Standing in the vastness

I beheld a beautiful sight

What once was dry and arid

Made to waste away, no water

Was now a flowing golden stream

And I, an invading marauder

I placed my walking stick within

Stirred once, then stirred again

Took it out to have a glance

And found it was in vain

For the richness of the water

Was no man’s, for his own

So I shall leave it where I found it

Beyond the great the unknown
