As fate would have it
Appearing again
A visible creature
An angel, so prim

She’ll pour you a glass
Or perhaps even two
As the clock ticks off time
Oh my, how it flew

She’s taking no chances
Making sure you’ll partake
Her slithering friend
Sees to your mistake

While her innocent face
Has you mesmerized, still
She’ll pour you another
Draw you in, against your will

No longer a battle
This one, you did lose
A victim of happenstance
Better knock off the booze

In time for the holidays!! (Shameless self promotion!)

I’m excited to announce that the first chapbook in the Seasons series “Autumn Haiku” is now available in paperback from Amazon.com!! This collection of haiku poetry is my 10th book to be published.  I’m still having trouble believing it! (There will be three more books to follow, to complete the four book series.)

To purchase, click here: Seasons ~ Autumn Haiku (Book One)

Back Cover:

Autumn ~ The colors of russet, gold and orange, laced with subtle greens, the transition to winter. From September til November, we are graced with the brilliance Mother Earth has on display. The haiku contained in this book take you from the early days of autumn, til the time when she, once again, departs, and we wait another year for her return.
I hope you enjoy this chapbook, containing 50 haiku about the beautiful autumn season, as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.

His hands were rough

Against the softness of her skin

An unshaven face

Bristled against her neck

His lips, a salted cold

Whispered, sending chills

Time together shortened

He would soon set sail

A memory, until he returned

A longing deep within

He was all she knew

And it was his touch

She would always crave
