I have shared this post for the last two years and feel it is truly worth sharing again and again, for this really is the true meaning of Christmas ❤

May the glory and joy of Christmas bring you peace throughout the coming days. Merry Christmas, my friends, and Happy Holidays to all who celebrate the cultures that make this country so beautiful.

With Peace & Love,

You can’t imagine what’s inside!
Just pull the ribbon, it’ll come untied

Dozens of little packages, begin to pop
Box after box, from bottom to top

Filled with a treasure, especially for you
Each tiny gift, has a trinket or two

One you will cherish, ever so dear
Good tidings to bring us, ever so near

The wonders this little sack does hold
Can never be borrowed, bought or sold

The thing inside, a sheer work of art
All of my love, straight from my heart

Popcorn Strings – #poetry #DecemberWriting #Christmas

The Christmas tree was lit
Only one thing left to do
String together popcorn
To create the perfect view

I carefully threaded the needle
Making sure it was nice and strong
One by one, I gathered them
To make the strand grow long

There was just one problem
My tree was much too tall
I couldn’t reach the very top
Else I’d surely face a fall

So I sat down in my comfy chair
Took the big bowl, nice and red
Forget about stringing popcorn
I’ll just eat it all, instead

Silent Communications – #poetry #DecemberWriting

He is my mystery, my shadow in the dark

He moves like the rain, leaving no mark

Obscure, in the night, he leads me to find

The thoughts that wander, inside my mind

Silent words, yet I can hear his voice, so clear

I move closer to him, becoming quite cavalier

He stretches his hands, a gesture towards me

Perhaps he is inviting, my thoughts to be free

To let go of my fears, and throw open the door

His secret communications, I can no longer ignore
