Pancho’s Villa ~ #poetry #AugustWriting

I was invited by Pancho, for brunch
Said it was time, to meet the whole bunch
So, I went to his villa, found out he’s a guerilla
Still, he knew how to serve a great lunch

So we ate, drank, and talked for hours
About his army, and all of his powers
I left, in a hurry, before my eyes got too blurry
Poor Pancho, things were looking quite dour

Well, that was the last time I saw him
Seems he knew that his chances were slim
Said goodbye to his men, never heard from again
Now they all sit around, rather grim

Problem with email – Check your spam folder if you’re using #YahooMail

Tags

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure what’s more frustrating.  Finding Walter in my spam folder, on WordPress, more times than in my notifications, or finding many of you in my spam folder in my Yahoo email, hence NO NOTIFICATIONS!!  I don’t always get a chance to use the reader (apparently, there are issues with this, too), so I rely on my emails to let me know you’ve posted something.

I discovered, yet again, that suddenly, Yahoo mail has decided to toss all emails from WordPress into my spam folder.  I was wondering why I hadn’t seen the emails from the blogs I follow. I apologize if I’ve missed any of your posts.  this is the second time they’ve done this.  For whatever reason, I have no idea what they’re doing.

If you use Yahoo mail, you might want to check your email spam to see if the same thing is happening to you.  You might be surprised.  Of course, if it’s happening to you, you may not even see this post!!

Also, be sure (comment-reply@wordpress.com) is in your contacts.  I’m not sure, at this point, if it matters anymore!!

Happy Spam Hunting!

Nantucket Breeze ~ #poetry #AugustWriting

I held my place, upon the shore
Watched the boats in the harbor, glide
They kept their distance, thanks to me
And I was filled, with a sense of pride

For I was the one to watch over
The boats that passed through, each day
Making sure, they were safe from harm
As they made their way, into the bay

Their sails did fly, against the wind
Easier now, then from the seas
Flapping and swaying, in a rhythmic dance
Guided by me and the Nantucket breeze

It’s that time of year again, when I start to take weekends off from my blog, not totally, but enough to be able to spend time with my family.  So, Backyard Buddies returns for Season 2  🙂
