Emerald gems, shine

Against shimmering silver

Reflections of life

Tired and weary, I wander

Into your arms, against your chest

Let me feel your heartbeat

As I lay my head to rest

Inhale, the perfect rhythm

Of your breathing, set me free

Exhale, into peaceful bliss

You, wrapped around me

This portal lies before me

Tis blackened, without light

I promise to never forget you

As I fade into the night

Yet look for me, come morning

O’er the lake, a frosted kiss

So you’ll forever feel me

Though I’ve faded into the mist

The path before me

An uphill climb

A reminder I

Should take my time

And think about

What’s down the road

As I wander off the path

Unload, the many things

I keep inside

That stay with me

Til I decide

It’s time to let them

Slip away

And thoughts become

Memories, of yesterday

Sail upon the velvet clouds

Feel the ocean’s rousing rush

Get lost in fields of lavender

Hear the forest’s gentle hush

Breathe in air of scented pine

Climb the rocks and reach the sky

Wrap yourself in magnificence

Listen, as your senses sigh
