She wept, into the silence of her pillow

No arms to comfort, no one to ease the pain

She was alone, left there to battle

Demons who constantly won, the evils

Who never gave her a chance, and still

She tries, tries harder than before, only

Left with nothing but the pool, collected

From her eyes, reddened, swollen, bruised

Unattractively noticeable, she remains

Locked in her room, the only safe haven

Away from the wars, the constant agony,

Her four walls, a sanctuary for her battered heart

Softest shades of green

Beguile in simplicity

With colorful hues

The gentle falling of the rain

And the whistle of a train

Listen

Do you hear them?

The stars begin to shimmer

And the sky does softly glimmer

Look

Do you see them?

And in dark of night, so deep

In my heart, you’ll always keep

Tell me,

Do you feel it?

Winter’s hardened earth

Parts the way for the mighty

Making room for growth

The skies speak in whispered tones

The ocean, like choral bells, creates

Melodic sounds, a haunting hush,

Lulling you, into peaceful slumber

As waters calm, and tides slow

You escape, into a heavenly bliss
