A misconception
Often hidden, a lie
Gathers swiftly
Tongues wag
Eager voices trill
Rapid babbles cut
The truth
No longer heeded
Scoffed, by they who
Know nothing, yet
Pretend to know
Deceive the trust
Once given freely
No longer begs the notion
Decline settled in
Aged , unforgiven
Authors note: I am challenging myself to write 30 poems in 30 days. It’s been a while since I put my writing first. This feels wonderful!

Isn’t it amazing how good it feels to write a poem once a day – just a few moments of letting the mind go.
