Good morning, friends! I hope you’ve had a great last week! Grab your tea, iced or hot, make yourselves comfy and letโs talk! ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I’ve had a somewhat busy week, which is good, It keeps my mind occupied. Monday was a holiday. We just relaxed and hung around the house. See how busy I was! ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: on Wednesday, hubby injured his back at work. He had to go to Urgent Care and was prescribed some meds to help ease the pain. He was doing okay until yesterday. The meds don’t seem to be working anymore. He sees the doctor again tomorrow. But, he’s still going to work, where he lifts anywhere from 5 to 150+ lbs, at any given moment. I think he’s nuts, but that’s another story.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: my own health is still causing me misery. I saw my neurologist on Wednesday. She upped some of my meds (Yippie….not) and gave me the same instructions. No lifting, reaching, unnecessary bending, etc, and so on. Might as well leave me drooling in the corner. Sorry, don’t mean to sound sour, but this is so frustrating!!!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: as you can see in my bitmoji above, my hair is shorter. Yep, I cut it! And for the first time, I think in ever, hubby told me the length looked really good on me! Imagine that. I wanted my curls back, and the only way to get them was to take off some of the length. I feel so much better!! ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: yesterday, we spent the day at Laurelwood Arboretum. I took so many pictures of all the beautiful flowers, bumble bees, butterflies, and of course, a chipmunk! Speaking of photos…
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: my daughter, Alyssa and I have a blog together called “Photos by We” We’d love it if you’d give it a like. We’ll be posting photos of our adventures, coming up soon. Lys is a dog walker, so if you like fluffy friends, I’m sure there will be plenty to see. It’s a fairly new blog, and we’ll be adding to it as soon as we can get all the photos ready, but here’s a sneak peek of what I will be uploading a bit later today.

If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: Yay!! I got a review on my new book! If you’re a writer, you know how good this feels when one of your readers takes the time out of their busy day, to let people know about your book. Writing is hard work. It definitely made my day. If you missed the post, you can find it HERE. I’m still smiling! ๐ ๐ ๐
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: for awhile now, I’ve been combining word prompts from different bloggers, into an evening post, but I decided to change it up a bit. From the month of June through Labor Day, using only one of the four prompts I follow, I will be doing Haiku. I hope you enjoy them.
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: we have been making plans for the summer, and some of those plans need attention this week. I can’t wait to tell you about them!
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it’s time to be on my way. Church is calling, then my son is coming over this afternoon. I can’t wait to see him! Have a blessed week ahead, my friends! โค
Lovely capture of that butterfly, Dorinda, I might have to over and check that new blog. ๐ Have a great week, I hope you and hubby feel better soon! โค

I am having the hot tea that you pour me a little late today, as it was my daughter Sarah’s dance recital today, there were two both last for three hours each, and the girls all did so beautifully especially to the song “You Say” (It is a Christian song) Since I am still drinking tea, my time at the nursing home is always rewarding, there are two at the moment very close to leaving this world and returning to our Heavenly Father and I was bless to spend sometime with them both and I will return on Tuesday. I will also share each Sunday I ask if anyone would like me to pray for them and two women came forward, I send them my email to pray for them privately, let us all keep them in our prayers, God knows what is going on and I will not share it, I know you understand. I am so amaze how God continues to use me to reach his children and be the light for him. I would also ask you to keep my daughter in your prayers who has lupus and is having a difficult time, and yes I know that satan is always behind it all, and her faith is strong. Well I better go for now, thank you so much for the tea I really enjoy it, see you next week. โค ๐

Good afternoon, Eileen! So happy to see you. I’m so happy for Sarah, and the other girls. It must have been such a sight to see. Bless you for giving of yourself to comfort others, especially those who have no one else. I know they feel the grace of God is with them. I pray your other daughter has the strength to fight back. Tell her she is never alone, she only need look up. Have a wonderful week, my friend. Look forward to next Sunday โค

Sorry for what you are going through. Dealing with the medical profession can be so dissatisfying. Take care both of you.

Thanks, V.J. It’s very frustrating, but doesn’t help when the patient doesn’t listen either!!! lol Hope you are feeling much better these days.

You got your hair cut and I got braces on my teeth. Shorter hair sounds much nicer. Have a great week, Dorinda.
