Invincible to water
Attempts to clear land
Authors Note: I wrote this after witnessing a nasty lightning storm, one in which we were stuck. The power of destruction is something to quiver at.

The sun is shining, but it’s cold. Supposed to be warmer toward the end of the week. How is it by you?

I’m a bathroom storm sitter – you know, with no windows, lol.

Oh no! You’re missing the beauty. Come out from the shower stall long enough to see at least one storm!! 🌩

Ha ha – my husband is a storm watcher, as is one of my best friends, so I have seen a few.

Oh good. Is that why you hide? lol

Lol. I hide because I saw a window fall on a girl during a thunderstorm when I was a kid. Still afraid to be near windows during a storm.

Yikes! I don’t blame you. Was she okay?

She looked up at the bang and her face was cut up quite badly. Otherwise okay.

Wow. That would frighten me for life. I’m glad she was okay.

Thank you for sharing. I may actually think twice about sitting by that glass door. 🤔

Especially when there are high winds. That was actually the problem. I just associated it with a thunder storm.

Loved this 👌the power of destruction, it reminds us we’re mortal and nothing is permanent!

Thank you very much. We sometimes take things for granted. Nature has a way of reminding us.

I love a huge lightning storm, Dorinda, but the fires they trigger are horrible. Powerrul poem, my friend.

Thanks so much, Diana. I love to sit by the back door and just watch the power, especially when the news says to stay away from the windows! I’m a rebel. 😉
