The lovely Helene of Willow Poetry has challenged us with “What do you See?”.  You may write a poem, haiku, tanka or short story that represents what you see or feel within you.  More info can be found in the link below.

Hey there, yes, you! Do you remember me?

Come in and visit, the space is free

I’m sorry there’s no chair, for you to sit

I surely hope you and your gear can fit

I have been standing here, quite a long time

I think I’m forgotten, it should be a crime

For not long ago, I had so many friends

Why did that have to come to an end?

Oh yes, that’s right, it’s those cellular things

The ones that make noises, when they ring

But not me, I have one tone I can play

And I happen to like it, a lot, this way

So anytime you get tired, of playing around

Come back and see me, I can be found

On the sidewalk, by the lamplight, near the street

I can’t get up and leave, I have no feet

But you do, so please, don’t leave me here alone

Come back, anytime…

…signed your friend, telephone
