A place to loll away the hours
Basking in the shade or sun
Under canopies of emerald green
Until the light of day is done
A sanctuary, a hidden treasure
One to keep you safe and warm
A place you can call your very own
Protection, from approaching storms
I marvel how you build your home
Each piece so carefully interwoven
And soon I grasp, just why it is
The reason this branch was chosen

Me too! We have tons of bird nests in our barns and trees and it’s almost baby bird season.

You wouldn’t like all the bird poop in the barns. I have to keep a tarp over my tractor. They think my creator’s sexy!
