Disobeying Venus
He finds cause to bleed
Beautiful Psyche looks for love
He plants the sacred seed
Cupid finds delight
Keeping secrets from his quest
She obeys his commands
In hope, she will be blessed
When sisters prey upon her
Their jealousy prevails
Psyche grabs an arrow
On her lover, she assails
He escapes, her only fear
Flies away, and leaves her be
Seems Cupid’s betrayal of the gods
Was an act of conspiracy
Immortals have their way
In the magic that they carry
Human’s leave their mark
Upon their adversary

Thanks, Drew! I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the piece. I think I had some brain drain going on.

That is funny. I write things that I don’t think are very good and it gets a great response. Other things that I love get a cool response.
