Whatever shall I make for dinner?
The cupboard is bare, nothing new
It has to be something that’s tasty
I know! I’ll make some alphabet stew
I can’t remember where I put them
Those letters, always on the loose
I need to gather enough of them
To allow me, this stew, to produce
Finally finding the package
I take what I need to proceed
An S, a U, two P’s and an E
Exactly the letters I need
But wait! Something is missing
This really is quite bizarre
I thought I had it altogether
But my supper is missing its R
