Labor Day…the last official weekend of the summer…sigh

Soon night will fall much too soon
As seasons once again commune
For summer says its last goodbyes
And ocean’s shore quietly sighs
No more footprints in the sand
No more people getting tanned
No more beaches left to roam
We’ve packed and now are headed home
To once again, forget the haze
We lived in, all these summer days

I have to confess that this year I am having the hardest time to let summer go. It simply appeared much too short to me…. cannot help it! Anyway, have a nice Labor Day weekend, dear Dorinda!

It was an odd summer, for sure. Here it is, 3 weeks from autumn and we’re experiencing autumn weather. Even the leaves are turning!! A very short summer…

I noticed the first leaves turning already in the beginning of August… was shocking me a bit. Also we have such cold weather here, lower 50s and heavy rain almost permanently for 3 days 😝It doesn’t help, we need to shine from the inside… lol!!

Sad, but looking forward to autumn, college football, bonfires and sweatshirts. 🙂

There is a sadness about summer fading away but there is also excitement about the stunning fall that awaits.
