I found her sitting in my chair
Dreamy eyes, without a care
Messed up hair, oh, what a sight!
She must have stayed awake all night
Computer screen filled with her words
Some of them, seemed quite absurd
Verses filled, with sky and sea
Lost, in poetic dichotomy
I look again and find her gone
Itβs only me, who sits alone
In front of a screen, I am confused
I seem to have misplaced my muse

amazing wording, and that play on words is absolute GENIUS girl!. I’m just starting out in writing my poetry publicly, not as developed in my writing as you are but I hope to be one day, I would love some critique from you, I want advice from people whose poetry inspires me, check out my page please, whenever you get some time β€

I love how this begins… really did make me want to know more about the context of the poem… I must say I love the artwork above it… did you create it yourself? Hope to see some more new things from you soon!

Thank you very much! No, the artwork is from the Pixabay site. I hung up my pencils and brushes years ago.

It seems to be a week for trouble with muses, Dorinda. Wonderful poem, though.
