Why not me, instead of she
The one you long to forever see
With loving eyes, and lips divine
You chose another, over mine
I long to feel your sweet caress
As bodies, together, gently press
With passion, lovers in the night
Together still in morning light
Yet I will never be the one
To hold you when this day is done
My dream, a distant fantasy
Of what true love was meant to be

Deeply sad…when what you want is in front of you but always out of reach.
