Bathed in warmth, they smile

Illuminated by morning’s light

Happy to stay there for awhile

Still sleepy-eyed, from the night

Beauty, like a picture, painted

A sight to behold, in symmetry

Lazing softly, remains untainted

Tis nature’s perfect poetry

Dare to take a chance
Never mind the mundane
Life is gray matter
It could use a bit of color

Sweep away the boring
Forget about the plain
The day to day truly
Couldn’t be much duller

Choose the door
To opportunity, open wide
Sidle away from strife
Spice it up, it’s waiting

You’ll never know til you do
Just take a step inside
Hurry now, no time to waste
I promise, it’s captivating

I try to negotiate my way through life, but sometimes fail

I always seem to find myself in a hurry, forever yearning

But life’s a cornucopia of things, and too often, I am frail
